    It sounds like something happened on your WordPress install or on your server during the update to that plugin that corrupted the file.

    Could you please log in to your site via FTP, and delete the existing jetpack plugin files?

    Once you have done so you should be able to install Jetpack again, either via the Plugin installer in your dashboard, or manually via FTP:

    I have reinstalled the plugin,and it all looks good now. I didnt even had to make the different settings, it all poped up as it was before the deactivating. The Jetpack plugin was gone from my site and I feared everything was lost. But it wasn’t. I did an update of 5 plugins at once, so next time I’ll take one by one, just in case.
