I logged into my site https://www.lovetaliesinjewellery.co.uk and saw that there were two updates, so I clicked on the update icon as usual. After the update process ran, Jetpack gave an update error, but then continued.

When I went to the plugins page, Jetpack had disappeared from the list. I then tried to install it again and the installation failed because the Jetpack folder already exists.

I am running WordPress 5.5 with the latest version of WooCommerce and of every other plugin that I use. I have not been able to recover the Jetpack error message.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Does this error message sound like the one you received?

Destination folder already exists. Can’t see the plugin to delete or inactivate or re-install.

If so, I would FTP into your site and completely delete the Jetpack folder wp-content/plugins/jetpack. Please reach out to your host if you need help with this.

Once you are able to do that, please follow these instructions to reinstall the Jetpack plugin:

    https://jetpack.me/support/installing-jetpack/

Let me know if that error message sounds familiar.

    Thank you!

Thank you. That error message is very familiar. I have followed your steps and Jetpack is now back on my site. Many thanks for your reply.
