    Got this error several times as a warning from WP. Tried to remove the plugin and reinstalled but keep having the same error. Just tried to install the plugin again and it crashed the admin panel so i had to remove using host file manger. This is not an update issue since its a fresh install of the plugin but it seems unworkable currently.

    Hi @easylifespain

    Could you please log in to your site via FTP or SFTP or cPanel > File Manager and go to the wp-content/plugins/ folder and delete the folder named jetpack. If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting provider for help.

    Once done, your website will likely start working again, and you will be able to log in to WordPress Admin. After logging in to WordPress Admin, reinstall the Jetpack plugin from WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New, and try to reconnect Jetpack: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack

    Thanks for getting back Animesh, yes i found this advice online and removed the folder, then tried to re-install the plugin twice but resulting with the same error. Not sure what the problem is but i’ll have to give the plugin a miss for now.

    It sounds like something is conflicting with your Jetpack plugin installation.

    After deleting the /Jetpack/ folder from inside your /wp-content/plugins/ directory again, it would be a good idea to make sure that all of your plugins, theme, PHP version, and core of WordPress are all updated before trying to install and activate Jetpack again (your host can also help with all of that). It should not give you this same error, but if it does, please let us know and we can help from there. Thanks!
