• I am running a multi-site and installed Jetpack 2.1. I network activated the Jetpack and connected several of my sites to their respective WordPress.com accounts. I then enabled post by email and it worked. I then tried to LINK another user from one of my sites to the WordPress.com account so that I could activate their post by email feature. The linking did not work. It gave me the following error:
    *********
Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_request
    Error Message: Mismatch in redirect_uri.
    *********

I then upgraded the Jetpack to the latest version (2.3.5) and tried the linking again. It still did not work and still gives me the same above error message.

This is the same issue that was reported here (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/connecting-jetpack-to-wordpresscom-error). I have not tried their solution as it does not state that they were running multi-site. This was also 2 years ago, so I don’t know what version they were using, assuming that this would have been resolved in the two years since.

Is this a known issue and or is there a solution? I am not keen on deactivating and re-activating as I would then have to reconnect all of my sites to their respective WordPress.com accounts.

    Thank you

Link how? You logged in as the other user and it said to connect for notifications etc?

Yes I logged in as the other user. when I went to that user’s profile to activate the post-by-email feature, it says to first LINK the user to the WordPress.com account and provides a link button. When I click on the link button, I get the error message page as described above.

Are you logged in as that user at wordpress.com too?
