• Hi everyone, ?I just update my Jetpack installation and something went wrong, now on my wp-admin page I receive the next message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_generate_password() in /home/lm000627/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack-client.php on line 54

    I change the name of the plugin to desactive it but nothing, on the line 54 I found this:

    $nonce = wp_generate_password( 10, false );

    Any ideas?

  • Same problem for me, uploaded the backup but it’s not a content problem. Resetting DB now, but updating broke my site too.

    Same. Latest update cause that error. Any solution to fix? If you got the error, just refresh the page. You still can go to dashboard but Jetpack plugin cannot be activated.

    For some unknown reason, after few times refresh the error gone… ??

    I somewhat solved disabling any custom login plugin and reactivating it…

    Same here, and it brakes my other plugins too.

    I had the same problem 5 minutes ago. I couldn’t add any new pages. I disabled all plugins and enabled it again. Then it worked for a while and then appeared it again. What I did was to refresh that error page few times and then problem disappeared.

    After spending an an afternoon with my host’s tech support, we found my issue. The symptoms were the same as all of you guys are having..

    Change your php settings!!!!

    https://my.bluehost.com/hosting/help/447 shows you how in your sites cpanel

    They changed it to 5.4 and everything works.. It wasn’t a plugin, nor was it a corrupt file…

    Figured I’d throw this out there since it baffled 3 techs and myself, but we finally figured it out!

    Hey all, just FYI, this thread is not on the forum for JetPack – so probably won’t be a good place to get help. If anyone still needs help, please start your own thread here:

    Include info about your issue and a link to your site.

    And do not post in someone else’s thread even if you think your issue is the same – that’s not a good way to get help on these forums.
