    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Your Facebook Like Box seems to be displayed properly on my end:

Have you managed to solve the issue by yourself?

No I haven’t. It isn’t displaying on any of my WordPress sites: https://wdcb.stcwdc.org/ https://events.stcwdc.org/ and https://jobs.stcwdc.org/

I see the Like Boxes on all your sites:
    https://i.wpne.ws/QDHB
    https://i.wpne.ws/QDEv

If you still experience issues, could you please try clearing out your cache and cookies?

If that doesn’t help, could you go to your Facebook page settings, and make sure you haven’t added any restrictions to block access to your Facebook Page depending on age or country?

Let me know if it helps.

    Hi,

All cookies and history have been cleared several times in the browser and in the whole computer. There are no country or age restrictions set for the Facebook page. It says everyone is allowed to view the page.

I’m still able to see the Like Boxes on 2 of your sites. On https://events.stcwdc.org/ however, I see an error, because you’ve entered a Facebook Page URL that doesn’t exist. Could you go to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard, and replace https://www.facebook.com/STCWDC by https://www.facebook.com/STCWDCMB

If you still can’t see any Facebook Like Box, could you try to access your sites from a different Internet connection?

    Thanks!

Strange thing is that I can see the Facebook Like box when I look at the site in the Safari, Cruz, and Opera browsers but NOT in the Firefox or Google Chrome browsers.
    I’m using Mac OS X 10.8.4 and
    Google Chrome 28.0.1500.71
    Firefox 22.0
    Cruz 1.3
    Opera 12.16
    Safari 6.0.5

I can see the Like Boxes on all of your sites, in Firefox and in Chrome, in Mac OS 10.8.4.

Do you use any add-ons or extensions like Ad-Block, that may block certain elements on the websites you visit?

    (@sleeplessindc)

I don’t use Ad-Block but I do use other add-ons. I’ll try turning them off one at a time and see if the box comes back.

Ah! The first one I turned off brought the Facebook Like Box back. Guess I can’t use this anymore. I had installed it on both Chrome and Firefox.

FYI – if you’re not logged into facebook, or if the page is age restricted (and you’re under age) it’ll just show a white box. I’m looking for fixes to this (no luck yet). Thought I’d share the info, as this problem could also cause the same symptoms. Eg I’m automatically signed into facebook on chrome, but not firefox.

I’m afraid you won’t find any fix. Facebook hides the box on purpose since it cannot check that you meet the criteria required to view the content.
Unless you remove the content restriction, your Page content will never be displayed to logged out users, whether you use a Like Box, view the Page directly, or use any other Facebook widget.

    Hello,

I am having a nearly the same issue with the Jetpack Facebook widget. It only displays a white box. I have tried different feeds, and have had no luck get any to display. Some which I know display on my other WordPress sites. I have cleared the cache, and the issue appears across chrome, explorer and Safari.

I have also used a text widget and with Iframe code pasted in, and still only get the white box.

Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated, here is the site ozbourne.williams.com

    Thanks,

@seehaferchris – please start a new thread if you need help with as per the forum guidelines –

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post

FB, JetPack and WP have all changed since this thread was posted.

    You can do so here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#postform

I had the same problem, to fix it I:

    1. In facebook
managed my facebook by making sure I had no age or country restrictions, allowed everyone to comment, made sure my facebook page was published

    2. in wordpress
deactivated conflicting open graph plugins and made sure I was logged into the open graph plugin I choose to keep as a facebook administrator. cleared my cache

During one of this steps, the like back came back “on”

I’m having similar issues. I did something to me wordpress coding because all of sudden my Facebook fanbox won’t work either. It’s there, it’s a box, has a header, but just blank white inside. No feed, no faces, no like button.
