    Hi @the5krunner

It looks like there is something that is occasionally blocking our attempts to access your site.

In order for Jetpack to communicate with your site, we need access to the xmlrpc.php file. It seems like there may be a security plugin or server setting that is restricting access. Can you please check on that?

It may be that your server needs to add Jetpack’s IP’s to their allowlist. You can get a list of those addresses here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-allowlist-jetpack-ip/

Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time. For that reason, we recommend your host uses the machine-readable versions of these IP ranges in JSON or plain text format to automate configuration changes on their systems.

    thank bob
those have all been whitelisted in my Wordfence protection system.
no stats are showing on the GRAPH after clearing the cache

note it has been working fine for several years until a few days ago.

    Hi @the5krunner,

I’m seeing that Jetpack is able to record stats just fine for your site and you can confirm that from here:

    https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=123469245

That means that nothing is apparently blocking or restricting Jetpack’s ability to track and record visits on your site.

This could be a JavaScript error. Do you know how to check your browser’s console for errors? If not, this page in the WordPress Codex has guidance for how to do so in different web browsers:

Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors

Please go to https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats and check the page for errors, and let us know what you find. You can use a service like https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot with us. Or, you can copy and paste any error you see in an email back to us here. If you don’t find any errors, that’s also fine. Let us know.

It would also be nice to see a screenshot showing your Stats screen from WP-Admin since we can’t access the page. If you want this to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    ok great that helps

there is no error on windows 10>chrome
but the error persists on windows 10>firefox

as above, the error is not that stats are not recorded but rather that the bar chart does not display at: https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats

the error in red in the console is this:

    `Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.plot is not a function
    drawChart https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats line 2 > injectedScript:182
    <anonymous> https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats line 2 > injectedScript:203
    jQuery 11
    admin.php:182:20
    drawChart https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats line 2 > injectedScript:182
    <anonymous> https://the5krunner.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=stats line 2 > injectedScript:203
    jQuery 11
The connection to wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data was interrupted while the page was loading. rest-proxy:16:4872
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data.`

    @the5krunner,

The Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.plot is not a function error is particularly useful. That tells us that the related script that defines that function is not being loaded on the page for some reason.

If the site is loading static files from an unreliable CDN, for example, that could be impacting the availability of the files. Deferring scripts in a way that doesn’t properly account for how they interact with each other is also another possible cause.

If you’re unsure what could be causing scripts to load improperly, you may want to deactivate the plugins on your site to investigate and find the culprit.

If you’re wanting to do this test in a way that isn’t disruptive to the look and feel of your site, you can use a plugin like [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/). This plugin lets you deactivate your plugins and use one of the WordPress default themes without disrupting your site.

This page explains how to use Health Check & Troubleshooting in detail:

i use KEYCDN, i’d say that was reliable.
changing all the JS settings in litespeed makes the page display differently but the chart is still not plotting.
however if i disable litespeed it still doesn’t fix it
similarly I’ve disabled the most likely plugins and there is no difference.

i’#ve rolled back jetpack to 10.4 and that makes no difference and i rolled forward to the alpha…no difference.

as i said above, it was all fine a few days ago and as we’ve discovered its fine on chrome

thank you for any further assistance.

my hosting company say all seems fine at their end:

    (@madhattersez)

It’s possible that there could be an extension in Firefox causing the interruption, especially since you say that Chrome is working just fine.

Are you able to try accessing your site from a different device that just has a vanilla Firefox install to see if the issue continues?

Since Jetpack is working properly and recording stats as normal, I’m not sure how we could help further since this appears to just be a local issue to your Firefox browser.
