Jetpack image issue?

Starting yesterday, images in many of my posts were not visible, whether I viewed my site using Google Chrome, IE, or mobile. I checked the posts in Edit mode and the images are there, seem fine.
In researching old forum posts about image problems, I saw one suggestion about deactivating the Photon feature in JetPack. I tried this, and as soon as I deactivated Photon my post images were visible again. However in my sidebar the images in the “Top Posts and Pages” were still not showing up (this is also through Jetpack.) So I just removed the widget.
Has anyone else has similar issues?
