One of my site is practically toy built on the jetpack image widget in page builder by SiteOrigin. After update the front page is covered in widget not found. How do I get it back or reinstall?

Please post solution. I have exactly the same issue.

    Websties affected: my-reality.com; nancyplank.com; evelynloss.com; dannesadler.com; hyacinthebaron.com; joannebarrows.com; and dangregoryfineart.com

The Jetpack Image widget is missing from the list of Jetpack Widgets, which has caused all the pages using it to now state Missing Widget and the webpage doesn’t show any images using the original widget.

I have already replaced that widget with another. I couldn’t wait.

Thanks. I’ve been informed by my theme creator SiteOrigin that Jetpack dropped the Image Widget because WordPress now has something in place. Of course, they weren’t prepared for this so there was no migration tool in place.

I got totally mangled by this. Seven artist websites and three business websites that have been in place for three years are all shot. I can’t even replace and recreate the work because all I see now is “missing widget.”

I’m hoping that by restoring a backup of the sites before the upgrade will hold so I can get back the missing info. It’s costing me a small fortune to restore that many sites. Such a drag when they make changes like this without thinking of the impact.

    Howdy all,

My apologies for the delay. In Jetpack 5.0, there is a migration script in place that, as soon as you’re on WordPress 4.8, it converts the Jetpack image widgets active on the site to WordPress’ built-in image widget so it should have been seamless. I’m not personally familiar with SiteOrigin’s themes, however.
