I use shared hosting via Inmotion, and recently the 3.0 install of Jetpack doesn’t connect to WordPress.

Inmotion’s support says this is because Jetpack requires shell access which isn’t available for shared accounts. Is there a way to install Jetpack without shell access?

    Hi,

That’s inaccurate. Jetpack doesn’t require shell access.

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

To do so, follow these steps:

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box (you can just copy and paste what you wrote here) and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

Thanks! Please let me know once you’ve sent it in. I’ll mark this as resolved and we can finish up via e-mail.

    Cheers!
