Jetpack iOS app failed media uploads

  • When using the Jetpack app on iOS, New images uploaded through media upload just fine – but new media uploaded while creating a new post always fail.

    The weird thing, though, the failed image that did not get uploaded while creating a new post does show up in the media uploads section of Jetpack (along with a failed version).

    Why is this?
    Is this a common occurrence?
    Is there a straightforward solution?

    Hi there, @xizor,

    Thanks for reporting this. Can you tell us more about the error you get when you upload a new image when creating a post? You can also share screenshots if that helps. You can create screenshots using Snipboard or Imgur and post the link here.

    Can you confirm, just to make sure I got this right, that when you upload a new image upon creating a new post:

    • The image returns an error
    • If you go back ot the Media Gallery, you see a failed image upload AND a successful same image being uploaded okay, as a duplicate.

    Do you have another Jetpack site on the same app that you can use to replicate the issue in there? I cannot reproduce it on my test sites – all works okay.

    Can you also check if the same issue happens on this very same site on a desktop device?
