• Just installed it and discovered that Jetpack was slowing down my site, the plugin takes more time to load than the wp core files and theme itself.

    Thank you for the positive review.

    What you’re seeing is that Jetpack is slowing down your admin experience since P3 scans as a logged in user. If you’re a fan of Jetpack, I encourage you to test again as an anonymous user and see if there’s a appreciable performance gain to your users who aren’t logged in.

    Here’s how to do it:

    * Go to p3
    * Click “Start scan”
    * Click “Manual scan”
    * Open another browser (or incognito window)
    * Browse your site as a logged out user for a while
    * Go back to the first window
    * Click “I’m done”
    * View your results

    If your results look kinda funny, like P3 didn’t record all of your traffic, then your site is probably caching pretty well for your anonymous users.

    Hope this helps!

    I tried this and Jetpack went down by half and the hotspot click tracking plugin showed as the slowest one.

    Now I realise the hotspot heatmap tracking is slowing down my site!

    Thanks great advice!
