Are the additional errors I am getting.

This only happens when I activate a plugin for a Form. I have it currently deactivated so my site will work for now.

    Hi @beckaltarr,

Thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the trouble!

I see that Jetpack is currently deactivated on your site. I had a look at the screenshots in your further comments, reporting an error related to the allocated memory that’s exhausted.

Can you try to increase the memory limit? You can see more info about that here:

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/

If that doesn’t work, can you check your error logs to see what exactly is going wrong? Your host can help you find them if you need help.

Once done that, reactivate and connect Jetpack, and let me know what you turn up.

    Thanks!

I increased the memory to 256mb.

On my page it shows Jetpack is enabled. If I try to disable it I get a Critical error message when the page tries to refresh.

This is the message I have gotten since changing the memory.

    Hi @beckaltarr,

Thanks for sharing the errors. I’m seeing a couple of things to address here.

First off, it looks like you’re running an old version of PHP. Could you try to update it to its latest version to see if things improve? You can ask your host to assist with this, or you can do it by following this guide:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-your-php-version/

I then ran some tests to check the current Jetpack connection, and I noticed that the xmlrpc.php is being blocked. In order to work properly, Jetpack needs to be able to connect to your site via XML-RPC. Right now if you have a look at your site’s XML-RPC here:

    https://www.reddeerdj.com/xmlrpc.php

You will notice that there is a warning that this file has been blocked. It’s possible that it’s being blocked by Mod_Security.

I would suggest contacting your hosting provider and asking them to help you disable this block so that your XML-RPC will look like this:

    https://jetpack.me/xmlrpc.php

Hope that’s all clear! Let me know how that goes and if you need any further assistance!

xmlrpc.pho should be fixed, but my web host PHP is 7.4 and that is as updated as it get’s with them at the moment. (Netfirms)

Not sure what else I can do. I don’t get the errors on the website anymore, but I do get an e-mail everyday.

    Hi @beckaltarr,

It looks like Jetpack is currently not properly connected to your site. Could you please first disconnect and then reconnect Jetpack?

You can follow these instructions to do that:

    1. Go to the Jetpack menu in your WP-Admin dashboard
    2. Scroll down to find the Connections area.
    3. Click Manage site connection.
    4. Click Disconnect and follow the prompts to complete the disconnection process.
    5. Click the Set Up Jetpack button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

This handy guide explains the full process in more detail:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack

For the XML-RPC issue, it looks like your host is blocking access to the file specifically for Jetpack and may be for other plugins too.

Can you please contact your host and check if they are blocking access to the XML-RPC file for Jetpack? Also, please find the IP ranges for the connection between your site and Jetpack/WordPress.com here, and whitelist them for HTTP connections on your site:

https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/#jetpack-whitelist – the “Whitelist all communications between WordPress.com and Jetpack” section.

If you’re unsure about this, you may contact your hosting provider; they should be able to help you with this. Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time. For that reason, we recommend your host uses the machine-readable versions of these IP ranges in JSON or plain text format to automate configuration changes on their systems.

    Thanks!

There is a Jetpack in the menu, it asked if I want to set up Jetpack, I did the login with my info and it came up with an error. I did not see any of those other options anywhere. There are no other prompts or options. I do not have a “manage your connection” option in my General tab in Settings. Alternately I do not have any options in my dashboard called Manage your connection.

Looking at the website you linked to me it shows the Plugin with 4 options. One of which is settings. I do not have those options. I have Jetpack and Deactivate. Pressing Deactivate only gives this same error.

The XML-RPC issue should be fixed as I noted in my previous response.

Can I just delete your plugin? I don’t run a blog site and I have no idea what it is supposed to be doing. It seems like you guys are unable to help me.

    Hi @beckaltarr,

At the moment, it looks like your Jetpack connection needs another refresh by disconnecting and reconnecting it.

You can surely delete Jetpack if you feel so, though we’d be sorry to see you go. We’re still very keen on helping you despite our efforts aren’t going in the way we expect!

At this point, I’d like to run some more tests with you on your site to try to figure out what’s happening. Could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread?

    Thanks!
