    Jetpack Mechanic ??

We only made one change to the Markdown module in 3.6:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/commit/44458f817f9acff263f57f507d715c9744051817

Could you try to revert and let me know if it helps?

Hello Jeremy. Revert to JP 3.5.3?
Deactivate 3.6, delete files, upload 3.5.3, then activate?

How about just removing or commenting out line 151 from the _inc/lib/markdown/gfm.php file? That will help us find out if the problem is linked to that specific change.

    Thanks!

Well, I tried commenting the line 151 and it didn’t help.
Should I still downgrade to JP 3.5.3 to wipe doubts?

Well, I downgraded to 3.5.3 and it just didn’t solved the issue. So, another plugin must be interfering… I’ll try installing a separated markdown plugin to test it.

Hi, I found the problem and it wasn’t JetPack nor SiteOrigin plugin. The reason was far simple, yet hidden.

I had installed TinyMCE Advanced plugin but it had a mark in the option “Stop removing the <p> and tags when saving and show them in the Text editor” which in fact added BR tags at the end of every line, breaking the parsing of Markdown. Unticking that, and ticking the option “Markdown typing support (text pattern plugin)” did the trick and all the tables are shown ok right now.
    Big Thanks!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Nice find! I’m glad to hear you could figure it out!

Marcelo, how do you have markdown setup to be used with SiteOrigin Page Builder? I just installed Jetpack and enabled markdown but am not seeing it work correctly out of the box.

    Thank you!

@corey, I’m actually not using it within a page edited with the Builder. It’s using the native classic WP editor instead. And yes, I have had troubles trying to use markdown within the site builder.

Maybe you should ask them directly for a solution ?? Here:

    Best Regards!

    Oh I see. Thank you!
