Jetpack Mobile Theme Not Working

    I have genesis framework and a child theme installed. Although the genesis child theme is designed to be mobile responsive, I don’t find it very effective and the menu is not responsive. I would like to use the Jetpack mobile theme instead for the mobile responsive feature. Initially when I activate the jetpack mobile theme, it worked great! However, it has reversed back to the genesis mobile responsive theme and I would like assistance on how to get this to work.

    So basically, how do I get my theme to use the jetpack mobile theme feature. Thank you!

    Do you use any caching plugin on your site? If so, could you make sure it’s configured to handle mobile devices? If it’s not configured properly, you may still be seeing cached versions of the desktop theme when trying to access your site via mobile.

    Hi Jeremy!

    Yes I currently have WP Super Cache installed and I tried several times clearing the cache but still seeing the old genesis mobile theme.

    Is there a way I can message you the url for my site so you can have a look.

    Try the following:

    1. Go to Settings > WP Super Cache > Advanced
    2. Check the following option: “Mobile device support. (External plugin or theme required. See the FAQ for further details.)”
    3. Save changes
    4. Go to Settings > WP Super Cache > Plugins
    5. Enable the Jetpack Mobile Theme option there
    6. Save your changes
    7. Go to Settings > WP Super Cache > Contents
    8. Delete all your cache

    I noticed that it works great on my iphone and not the Ipad. How can I fix this?

    Jetpack’s Mobile Theme is designed to work on phones only, not on tablets. So you won’t see it on your iPad.

    I don’t think so, sorry. I’d suggest that you get in touch with the Genesis support team and let them know about the layout / menu issues you experience on tablets: they might be able to get it fixed for you.
