Jetpack newsletter emails invalid links
-
Around December, my Jetpack newsletters started replacing all the direct links in my blog posts with long links like this:
https://www.planetjune.com/blog?action=user_content_redirect&uuid=dd6ca002bab32b451f2c1ad720a706fb30baae693c85beb09b85e1f0fed4dad6&blog_id=50122944&post_id=23598&user_id=128880067&subs_id=64608542&signature=7f85b5bfcd05cc730c5daa8d2a30d41e&email_name=new-post&[email protected]&encoded_url=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cucGxhbmV0anVuZS5jb20vc2hvcA=At some point between then and now – I’m not sure when – those links all stopped working. I’ve gone back to my older emails and the links in those no longer work either. Clicking any of these links from the body of the blog post now takes you to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?action=user_content_redirect&action_failure=1 (but the ‘Read on blog’ link and ‘Comment’ button both correctly take you to the blog post).
It sounds like the same problem reported here – that post says the issue was resolved, but it doesn’t say how. My WordPress and Jetpack installations are both up to date. Can anyone help, please? Is there any way to go back to using unencoded URLs in the newsletter emails (my preferred solution), or to fix this problem?
