Jetpack not installing

I just upgraded my WordPress to 4.7. The Jetpack plugin stopped working. It says I need to install it. Ok. I try to install but get an error “there is already a jetpack folder”. Ok. I check my folders. The Jetpack folder is there. I check my installed plugin. The Jetpack plugin is not there. I try to rename my Jetpack folder. I’m not allowed. I copy the Jetpack folder offline and then try to delete the online Jetpack folder. I’m not allowed. How do I get Jetpack reinstalled on my site?
