Hi all, I recently moved over from a WordPress.com hosted Business Plan to a self-hosted www.ads-software.com blog. Ever since moving using the All-in-One WP Migration tool, I’ve been having issue with getting the Jetpack to work properly

    1) Data on the Dashboard displays intermittently. Sometimes it shows, sometimes it’s stuck in loading.
    https://prnt.sc/vutc4k

    2) Error shown on Jetpack Stats Page “You are not a member of this Site”
    https://prnt.sc/vutcoh

    3) Linked to 2, sometimes I get an error “Error establishing a database connection” when going to the Jetpack Stats Page
    https://prnt.sc/vutd44

I have already tried deactivating, deleting the plugin and re-installing the plugin. Whenever I try to do so it will take very long trying to connect to my WordPress.com account, but works at the end.

Really need some advice and help here.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It looks like AIO copied the site blog token information from the WordPress.com Business site which is why you’re seeing issues.

Jetpack saves a blog ID and a token (think username and password) in the database when you first connect that is unique to specific URL. This same blog ID and token is used on WordPress.com sites.

Since you used AIO to clone a live, active, connected site to a new site, then the new site is trying to interact with WordPress.com using the original WordPress.com site’s information.

To fix this, disconnect and delete Jetpack on your new self-hosted site. Then reinstall and reconnect it to your WordPress.com user account. That should take care of it. You can respond to this thread and we can check on our end after you do that to make sure your new self-hosted site generated its own unique blog ID and token.

Let us know if you have any questions. Otherwise, we’ll wait to hear back from you!

Hi, thank you for your reply. But as I said in my post earlier on

“ I have already tried deactivating, deleting the plugin and re-installing the plugin. Whenever I try to do so it will take very long trying to connect to my WordPress.com account, but works at the end.”

In fact I tried it twice. But the process was quite buggy, i.e. it told me “error authorising” or something along those lines and I had to authorise twice before I could proceed.

Just to make it clear, do I have to connect to the wordpress.com account which previously hosted my website? I had created another account due to the fact that I was concerned that the old account was the issue.

Hi, I’ve just re-installed the entire thing, and used the original account that my WordPress.com website used to be hosted on, now it seems to be working.

However, when I try to use the JetPack Debug tool, I still get the error”Debug
Unknown error”. So I’m not sure if the Jetpack is really working as intended.

@eriol8 At this point, I’d like to run some more tests with you on your site to try to figure out what’s happening.

Could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread?

    Thanks!
