    Hi,
I started a new website and the contact form doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve been looking around here but none of the solutions seem to work. I’ve tried a host e-mail and it didn’t work, then I tried to use a gmail email and it still didn’t work. Also the notifications icon on the admin topbar seems to be endlessly loading.
The forms show up on feedback on the admin side bar, but I don’t get any notification whatsoever. I’ve tried sending a normal e-mail from both e-mails and it worked, I also sent an e-mail to both e-mails and they are working.

    Thank you for your help

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Jetpack, like other contact form plugins, uses a function named wp_mail to send out emails. It’s the same function that is used by WordPress to send you comment notifications, or notifications about new users registering on your site.

You can check if that function works properly by leaving a comment on your site and checking if you receive an email. Alternatively, you can use this plugin to check:

If you find issues with that function, you could use a plugin like this one to configure your WordPress installation to use a specific email service:

If the function appears to be work properly, it means that Jetpack’s emails are filtered out before they can reach your inbox:

    – They can be filtered out by your server before they even get sent out; your hosting provider should be able to check their server email logs to find out if the emails were blocked.

    – They can be filtered out by your email provider. If you don’t find the emails in your spam folder, you might want to try to send out Jetpack emails to another email address, and see if you keep experiencing issues. You can do so by using this option in the contact form builder:

Let me know if it helps.

Thank you for your detailed help.

After downloading check-email and trying it I found out the wordpress wasn’t sending mails. I’ve downloaded postman-smtp and while trying to configure the mail service, when I get to the connectivity test tab I get a lot of “0” ajax something errors and it stays at “Connectivity Test: Checking.. 4” with a spinning icon and doesn’t stop.

(Sorry for double posting, can’t edit post)
Error is: “Unexpected PHP messages corrupted the Ajax response “0””
This even happens using a gmail address.

You’d have to report this to the plugin author, they’ll be able to help:
