Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 61341696) (tried to allocate 786432 bytes) in /home2/o7g9z7c2/public_html/researchblog/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/locales.php on line 2149

This is the error message I get when I try to access Settings Permalinks on the Dashboard.

Nothing else seems to be a problem. Of course, I have not tried every link, only random links.

As to memory, last night I deleted from the site a whole bunch of media, so overall, memory should not be a problem.

Note that I am NOT a coder so if there is something else that can be done rather than me fiddling with code, please let me know.

I notice that there is something called Jetpack Lite or similar. Would I be better off using that instead, then picking and choosing which modules I want?

Does the whole package consume a lot of memory even when some of its parts are not being used?

    Hello, there!

Jetpack takes a relatively low amount of memory to operate, even with a majority of its features on. It’s very possible that there may have been a conflict with another plugin or function that caused this error.

I definitely can’t recommend a third party plugin based on the Jetpack code, I would only recommend using the official Jetpack plugin and then turning off all of the settings / features you don’t use.

Could you share which site is having this issue so we can look for clues?

If you’re not comfortable saying it publicly, you can contact us via this form and we’ll be happy to look into in more detail:

    Thanks!
