• Hello guys,
First of all congrats on such a nice theme.

Secondly, I’m having a problem with the front page header image. Whenever I turn on Jetpack Photon it goes away and I get this message: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 ().

However, other images are visible. And if I change to the default theme I have no problem.

    Regards,
    Jorge

PS. Also tried purging cache, no luck at all

    Hey Jorge,

    thanks for choosing Bento!

This hasn’t been reported previously, and I can’t seem to be able to reproduce the bug on a test install. The error message hints that it is more probably a server issue, not a front-end error; to check this, please try removing the header image and re-uploading a new one. Photon is essentially a CDN, serving images from WordPress.com network instead of your hosting’s server – a theme is not expected to interfere with this process in any way.

If the above does not help, I will need to ask you to provide the URL of your website, as well as the login and password from the WordPress backend (will not be shared with any third parties) – seeing the actual code and settings will enable me to provide a more precise solution. You can send the details to suppor[at]satoristudio.net

    Hello there,

Thanks for your reply. You are totally right. Tried in a test install and couldn’t replicate the problem. However, using other image while having Photon turned on didn’t make any difference.

In that case I’m pretty sure it is not a theme’s problem.

I decided to start using Cloudflare. Do you think it is necessary to turn on Photon?

    Hey Jorge,

Photon serves two purposes – improving the website’s loading speed and reducing the server load. A third-party CDN will perform exactly the same tasks, so if you’re serving your images via Cloudflare, I don’t see why you’d need Photon in addition to that.
