Hi,

We cache the images by pulling it via a cURL request. When checking out your image, the server didn’t return the image, rather a redirect, which is why Photon wasn’t able to display the images.

Thanks for your efforts! The location you mentioned here is not where my images were linked to. It is just the URL Redirect under the Hotlink Security which i set up in cpanel security. Does it mean I can’t use Hotlink Protection?

All the photos in my posts were uploaded directly to the server.

How to solve this then? Thanks a lot for your help!

That’s right. The process that your hotlink protection uses also prevents Photon from grabbing your images to cache.

With that, you can choose one or the other—hotlink protection (and serve all the images from your server) or Photon (and have the images servers off of WordPress.com’s servers.
