• I’ve been following instructions on the wordpress forum in order to troubleshoot my problem with the visual editor in WordPress. I have determined that Jetpack is the culprit. I’ve been turning off and on various aspects of Jetpack but it seems to be Jetpack as a whole. The problem is that I use Jetpack for my stats. So, to edit blog posts, I’m now having to turn off jetpack, write and turn it back on. So, I don’t have stat tracking running while I’m writing blog posts. Surely there is a better way. I’ve already cleared the browser cache. I’ve turned off things like Photon. It also makes it so that other features on the blog post don’t work correctly like Yoast SEO Pro Plugin (the culprit is not yoast, however – Yoast boxes just don’t show when I have jetpack on).

I’m at a loss on what to do to figure out which piece of jetpack is the problem or if I’m going to have to go with other things to track. The problem is that I use SO MUCH of jetpack, I really need it. I don’t even know where to begin.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on my own site. Could you let me know what other plugins are currently active on your site?

Could you also check for Javascript errors on the page, as explained here:

Let me know what you find!

I am at a point where it looks like that Sitelock and Bluehost have some issues. It is sort of connecting to jetpack but it is throwing a 502 error on me with the connection. They keep telling me that they can log in and connect it but I think there is definitely an issue. I’m working on some things with this now to see if it can be resolved. It is still a problem and I still have to disable jetpack to write a blog post. It is crazy an

HI jeremy – I’m back. Blue host has told me that I need to get back with you because they don’t know why it is giving us a bad gateway error at this point. We’ve turned off all CDN’s and everything and have let it propogate. Where can I give you info no my site? https://www.coolcatteacher.com — what can I do to see on your end what is happening?

Hoping you can help me – I’ve been troubleshooting this problem since August and finally have the DNS and such configured on the Bluehost side in a way that I think is correct. I also put in a private message as well via support.

Did you have the chance to check for Javascript errors when looking at the post editor page, while Jetpack is active, as I mentioned earlier? Do you see any error there?

Your site is properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment, so if you can log in to your dashboard, you should be okay. Do you get the 502 error when trying to load specific admin pages?
