    Hello,

    I’m trying to update my Jetpack plugin but it keeps hanging and I get stuck in maintenance mode. I have tried a couple of times (after deleting the maintenance file so I can access my site again) but I keep having the same result.

    Jetpack version that I’m trying to upgrade too: Version 7.9
    My WordPress version is: 5.2.4
    My theme is: Generate Press (with GP Premium plugin)
    My host is: SiteGround

    Which version of PHP are you running?

    7.1 – that’s the ‘safest version’ recommended by Siteground (or so my backend states).

    Thanks for the info. I had a look at your site and noticed that your current Jetpack version is already 7.9. So there’s no need to try and update because you’re already on the newest version.
    However, it does seem like there’s an error within the auto-updater and we’ll need to take a closer look at that. Since you’re on a Premium plan please open a ticket via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support

    Hi, thanks, yes we are on 7.9. The link you re4fer me to just allow me to search answers. I can not open a ticket.

    But please let me know via here what the problem is. I see there is other people with the same issue so it seems that it is within the plugin and not our side.

    Hello, Yes I deactivated all my plugins including Jetpack and then tried to install the update and it worked. I had no problem reactivating my other plugins after I installed the update. Sorry, meant to come back and post the steps I took. I’ll open the support ticket soon.
