Hello

This morning I got an email entitled

“Jetpack Plugin Security Update for https://domain-name/: Please Upgrade Now”

So I logged into the back-end of my site expecting to see a plugin update available for Jetpack to take me from 2.9.1 to 2.9.3 but there wasn’t one. Why isn’t an available update showing up in my dashboard?

Not to be deterred I visited https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack/ and downloaded the zip file for 2.9.3

But when I tried to upload the zip file I got the following error message:

Regarding your problem have you attempted to manually update that plugin via FTP or via a ssh session?

The dashboard should work but it’s really important to get that plugin updated soon.

I apologise for being impatient, I have never ever posted any spam on WordPress and I never would! So I dont understand why I am flagged???

Thanks for the tip, if I unzip the file, FTP it up, can I simply replace the old jetpack folder with the new one? no database changes are needed?

I don’t believe that going to version Jetpack 2.9.3 will require any database changes and that should get you past this security issue.
