I discovered that Jetpack is preventing my widget area’s to not be updated. I have homepage widget area’s that I made changes to, but they weren’t showing up. Once I disabled Jetpack, they updated just fine. I have the most current versions of Jetpack and WP.

Any ideas on how to fix this, since I still want to use my Jetpack features. Thanks.

Could you give me more details about the problems? Does it happen when adding / editing / saving widgets in your dashboard, or when you try to view these widgets on the frontend of your site?

    • When you try to make changes to existing widgets in your widget area, do you get an error?
    • Do you have issues dragging and dropping new widgets, or do they get added to the area correctly?
    • When you remove a widget, do you get errors? Is the widget removed from your site as well?

    Thanks!

When I make widget changes they all seem to work just normally, no errors, no issues dragging or adding/removing. They appear to be working just fine, so I can edit/save and add new ones and remove widgets, but still no changes showed up on the site. Once I disable Jetpack, they all show up.

So NO to all your questions.

Do you happen to use a caching plugin? If so, could you try to deactivate it, or flush your cache, and let me know if it helps?

If that doesn’t help, could you make sure you don’t set up any Widget Visibility options that may hide your widgets from your site?

Let me know how it goes.
