[JetPack Publicize]

One of my authors is trying to post an article and use JetPack Publicize to post it to our social media accounts (twitter, facebook, etc). I (as the administrator) connected JetPack to our social media accounts, so he can see them connected. When my author tries to publish the article, all of the Publicize Options are selected; however once he actually clicks Publish they become unselected, unable to edit, and do not go through.

How can he use publicize to post articles to our social media accounts when he publishes an article?
