Jetpack Publicize isn’t sharing featured image

Hi there! I’ve noticed over the past few months that Jetpack Publicize isn’t consistently sharing the featured image of a post to Facebook or Twitter. When I share a post to Facebook, the featured image is displayed on Facebook maybe 1 out of 5 times. The other times I have to manually refresh the share attachment in Facebook in order for the image to show up. For Twitter, the featured image sometimes shows up in a Twitter card – but sometimes the Twitter card has no image (just a grey icon of a piece of paper), or the Twitter card doesn’t show up at all and only the custom message shows up. Sometimes the image and/or card eventually shows up after refreshing Twitter many times. Is there something that I’m doing wrong here? I’ve been using Publicize for years, and have never had these issues before. Thanks!
