Hi everyone. I connected my student association Facebook account using Publicize (Jetpack plugin) with our WordPress website and at first, it worked: I could post on my blog and push the new post on our Facebook page (not profile, page).

Last night, the feature wasn’t working, so I removed the connection. Now, I can no longer connect my Page to Jetpack.

I have removed WordPress’ permissions from Facebook and retried the connection, but all I see is my association’s Facebook Profile, not its Page.

I am really at a loss. Can anyone help?

The blog I need help with is ecaconcordia.ca.

Here’s what I currently see: screenshot.

  • Just to add my 10cents worth and give feedback to the developers. I implemented the code change as mentioned earlier straight onto a live multi-site (3.5.2) and everything worked out perfectly.

The page options now appear on the connect to facebook, and I tested it with a scheduled post, and the post publicized to my facebook page.

    Thanks for your efforts.

Thank you Jeremy, I have implemented the code changes to my blogs and all is working fine

Downloaded the beta and replaced publicize-jetpack.php. It worked fine. Thanks.

where can i find the beta code? please, thnks

    Aloha,

I am new at all this and am trying to update the code. I went to the editor under plugins but can’t find the right place to enter it. I chose jetpack and don’t see the jetpack/trunk/modules/publize….I see jetpack/modules/publicize….but don’t see a place there to enter the code change…

Also – how would i install the beta version?

    Thanks for everything!

Maybe all this will be moot of new version coming out soon…

Normally when a post gets THIS big we close ’em cause it’s hard to help the OP, however this is one of those rare cases where, indeed, ‘Me too!’ is 100% appropriate! (Mods, leave this open please and thank you)

Same issue. Posting so I can get notification once the issue is resolved.

    Hello,

    Download the beta:

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/jetpack.2.3.2b1.zip

Delete All Cache, Purge your CDN if you have, and of course delete the previous version of Jetpack.

After you install, you will have to connect to WordPress.com again using your username and password. After you sign in, you will see your facebook pages.

Replacing the publicize-jetpack.php file with the one in the beta download fixed the issue.

Fix is great, no problem anymore ! Thanks a lot !!!!

    Yes!

Can someone tell me how to replace the publicize-jetpack.php? I downloaded the beta jetpack and see the file but wuat do i do with it? Is there way to read the file and copy the code and then paste it somewhere? Or do i do something else? Sorry for being a tech dunce….

    I’m having the same issue.

    @tresky

ftp to this path > /public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/publicize/ to replace publicize-jetpack.php

    Hope it helps.

Excellent – thanks. Replacing publicize-jetpack.php fixed mine as well. ??
