Jetpack publicize not showing correct photo or not showing photo at all

I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

Could you post a link to one of the posts where you experienced the issue? I checked a few of your latest posts, and I don’t see any problems with them: as you mentioned, they include an image, that image is added as an Open Graph Image meta tag, and Facebook Debugger doesn’t return any errors.

I think these 2 did. As I said, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t.

I was also able to share these posts on my Facebook profile, and the pictures were displayed properly.

If this happens again, could you immediately check Facebook Debugger for the post, and post again here with any errors that may be displayed on the page?

Okay, will do. I’ll turn FB sharing back on and see what happens. Let’s keep this open for a few days, so I can check that it’s posting correctly.

Oh, and what about no images going to G+?

It was fine before April 10th but since then the only images on that G+ page are ones I’ve loaded directly to the page myself.

The last post came up okay on both G+ and Fbook. Why does it work sometimes and not at others?

It looks like we are providing Facebook and Google+ with the correct information for your posts. But for some reason they aren’t picking up the correct image all of the time. Since we are providing the correct information, I’m afraid that there isn’t much we can do to troubleshoot things on our end.

Instead, I would recommend running the incorrect posts through the debugger tool that Jeremy mentioned. Try to do this as soon as possible after posting. Then, note down any error messages or incorrect information that you can see in those results. This will provide us with some more information so we can dig into the issue further.

Both came up fine on G+

Thanks for the information! It looks like the connection is timing out when trying to Publicize your posts to Google+. Can you please temporarily remove your Google+ connection? Then, publish a new post and see if it is successfully Publicized to Facebook.

Can we please keep working on this. I want to be publicizing to both Facebook and G+. It’s no good if I can only get a decent Fb post if I don’t post to G+

Could you let us know what happens when you disconnect Google+, and only Publicize to Facebook? Does that work too?

That’s what I did. It publishes fine to Fb when I have G+ disconnected. But I’d like to be able to publicize to both of them.
