Jetpack Server unable to connect with my site-Http 404
-
Hi all:
I have a problem with my connection to Jetpack the last 2 weeks.
For some reason it wasn’t getting the updates, so I deactivated the plugins, and reactivated them.I got this red banner message when it tried to reconnect, which reads:
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.com/support/
Before, i used to have connections to all the updates for Jetpack. But I feel I might have fallen behind. i lost connection to my stats which I had before. I am still a newbie to WordPress, but know I have version 4.7.1 , running theme Twenty Fourteen. Is there any way to manually fix this? Any help is appreciated.
Victor

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:
https://jetpack.com/contact-support/Thanks!
Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately I cannot access that file on your site at the moment:
https://www.artofvictorramirez.com/xmlrpc.phpIf you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.
If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.
I hope this helps.
@jeherve Please I have the same issue.
site name : officialseapeeps.com@seapeeps Your site appears to be properly connected to WordPress.com right now. If you still experience issues, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?
- Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
- Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
- Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
- Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
- Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.
Thanks!
Hi,
The sharing plugin wasn’t working. I read somewhere I should disconnect and reconnect Jetpack to WordPress. Now I cannot reconnect.
It looks like your site can not communicate properly with Jetpack. @krazygyal Do you use a caching plugin or service on your site? If so, could you try clear your site’s cache?
Once you’ve done so, go to Plugins menu in your dashboard and deactivate, then delete the Jetpack plugin. You can then reinstall Jetpack from scratch and try to connect again.
If you don’t have a caching feature, or you aren’t sure where to find it, we have a little alternative connection route plugin you can use.
Can you download this plugin:
https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack-addons/archive/add/old-connection-flow.zipDownload the file, then go to Plugins > Add New > Upload in your dashboard to install and activate the plugin. Could you then try to connect again to WordPress.com? Once you’re connected, you can deactivate and delete this little plugin.
If you still experience issues, could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

I use a caching plugin. I followed the above-mentioned procedure, it didn’t solve the issue. So I started a new thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/the-jetpack-server-was-unable-to-communicate-with-your-site-8/#new-post
Thank you in advance for your help.
@jeherve Please I have the same issue.
