    Hi,

I’m building a website and laying the last hand on it before going live. I just set to show some social media sharing buttons and checked all “Show buttons on” options.
Refreshing the site gave me somewhat of a surprise; Now instead of my site-title I see the “Sharing label” I set on the sharing options page, and instead of the site description I get the site title.. Changing the “sharing label” again has no affect anymore, the (new) “site-title” keeps showing me the first “sharing label”-value I gave it… I call the site-title and description by bloginfo(‘name’) and bloginfo(‘description’). Another nice thing I noticed changed is the dateformating, it has gone entirely berserk: instead of giving me “13 juni 2015” like before, it gives me now “853E VUTC7pm6 2917 13UTC 853UTCzaterdag729172015-06-13T19:29:17+00:0007UTC vUTCSat, 13 Jun 2015 19:29:17 +0000UTC62972967 v20152015Sat, 13 Jun 2015 19:29:17 +0000 vUTC7pm6291706UTC.”

I tried to undo these changes but as it turns out they seem impossible to undo, deactivate sharing nor deactivating jetpack. (I did not go as far as removing jetpack as I still depend on other jetpack functionalities). I also looked at settings and even in the database but everything seems ok at first glance.

How can I solve this hiccup??

    Hope to hear something soon…

    EDIT:
I run wp 4.2.2 and jetpack 3.5.3 and there are no updates available. Did not disable any other plugins as everything was working perfectly before setting some social media buttons…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

That’s interesting. I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my test site. What happens when you deactivate Jetpack’s Sharing module, and then reactivate it?

Could you also let me know what value you tried to save in the Sharing label?

    Hi! Thanks for responding ??
I already deactivated and reactivated Jetpack’s Sharing module, I even deactivated the entire Jetpack plugin but it doesn’t seem to make any difference…

I think it was left untouched, it was “Delen:” as the blog is installed in dutch.

    Edit:
The website is: bevegan.be (normally redirected to another website but now occasionally accessible. If you want, I can give you an account to see what’s going on?)

Alright, I found a way to bring things back to normal. It had to do with Polylang it seems. In “string translations” everything was moved one item down :s I have no clue how this happened and can’t reproduce it but I’m glad I was able to fix this ??
    Thanks for your help!
