Jetpack Showing Error Trying to Configure Sharing Buttons in Self-hosted P2 Site

  • When I click on configure sharing buttons, this is the error that comes up:

    There was an error retrieving your site settings.
    Make sure your Jetpack is up to date

      Edit Label Text is not active
      Button style edit not possible
      Show sharing buttons on edit possible but no effect when you click.

    Please assist

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    I noticed a few issues when running some tests on your site:

    1. I was able to access your site using both HTTP and HTTPS: https://www.briefgram.com/ / https://www.briefgram.com/ Since you have a valid SSL certificate, I would recommend that you redirect all HTTP traffic to the HTTPS version of your site.
    2. I receive 402 errors when trying to communicate with your site from a WordPress.com server. This may be caused by a caching plugin, or by a security plugin that would block WordPress.com from accessing your site. Do you happen to use a caching plugin or a security plugin on your site? If so, could you try to deactivate them, one at a time, and let me know what you find?
