Jetpack Site Stats not showing stats – error message

After installing Jetpack and the Site Stats feature, the Site Stats feature has never worked. This error message keeps displaying:

Content length: “0”I tried logging into the WordPress site through Firefox, Google and IE; all show the above error.
All plug ins are updated, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Jetpack twice – that has not fixed the issue.
Would appreciate help in getting this resolved.
