Jetpack Slideshow: Indexable by Search Engines?

    Concerns all posts in the category, but is visible on the linked page. Not that this question really requires an example.

    I have two questions about this the Jetpack Slideshow Gutenberg Block that I hope you can help clear up.

    The first, titular question: Are the images in the slideshow indexed by search engines? Or are they “hidden”, perhaps apart from the first one?

    Second, in the description of the gallery block, it says the images are served by jetpack servers. Is the same the case for the slideshow? Because that’s not something I want. I want the images to be served by my own server / CDN.

    Hi @rodario –

    The images are included on the page and should be indexed by search engines. The particulars of how that indexing will happen depends on the search engine in question and how it chooses to index assets.

    Additionally, the images served from your own server/CDN, not Jetpack’s (unless you turn on Site Accelerator for images).
