Jetpack Social Comments hanging on authentication

  • Installed the latest and greatest Jetpack, and enabled Jetpack comments. The form displays fine, and when you try to login through twitter or facebook the small modal window opens fine, but when you grant access to the app, the modal closes and you return to the page, where the comment plugin says “Connecting to Twitter” and never answers. Same goes for Facebook.

    Trying this with Firefox, Opera and Safari on OSX with the same results. I can login to Twitter and Facebook on other tabs and try to link but the response is always the same.
