• I’m using Jetpack for about 4 years now and recently all my stats disappeared.

I didn’t change anything, I only noticed the connection appeared to be broken.
So I reconnected it and then all stats were gone. Is there a way to get them back ?

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

With Jetpack, your stats information is connected to a unique blog ID. Sometimes, if a site owner was using a development site or a different address when they set up Jetpack, disconnecting may create a new blog ID. When this happens, it may appear that your stats were lost.

That’s what happened on your site; it previously used a different site URL, https://www.freerides.org/wp

I have fixed the issue, and you should be able to get your Stats and Subscribers back by going to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard, and disconnecting / reconnecting to WordPress.com.

I deactivated/activated it and stats are back, thank you.

Wondering though how/why this happened. I changed from / to /wp about a year ago… not recently… Nothing has changed when stats were lost…

Your Jetpack options were still set to use the original URL, and they weren’t updated when you switched. However, when you disconnected / reconnected, your Jetpack options were refreshed and you started with a fresh set of stats, for that new site URL.

We’ve made a lot of changes to the connection and the synchronization process in the past few months, so this hopefully will not happen again. Next time you change your site URL, you should see a notice in your Jetpack dashboard inviting you to update your Jetpack settings to use the new URL.

    Sorry for all the trouble!
