Ten days ago my Jetpack installation stopped collecting/showing users access to my blog. I am using Matomo next to Jetpack so I can confirm users are reaching my pages.

I tried to disconnect and connect again my WordPress.com account to the website but nothing changed.

I can see the Stats code on the website. What can I try to do to make Jetpack work again?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @pixel8383

The Stats page works by sending a request to WordPress.com with something called an “Authorization header” – WordPress.com will then verify the request and respond by sending you back your Stats.

It sounds like something might be blocking this request which is causing the Stats page from not being accessible.

Could you contact your hosting provider again, and ask them if they are blocking Authorization headers on outgoing HTTP/HTTPS requests?

You can also forward them a link to the following test:

    https://i.wpne.ws/MZoD

They can use it to test if Authorization headers are being sent correctly

Let us know how that goes and if you need any further assistance.

@bruceallen thanks for your reply. Am I wrong or in that case I would still be able to see the stats from my wordpress.com dashboard? I see 0 visits from that dashboard too.

    Hi @pixel8383

I’ve seen you’ve mentioned seeing 0 stats on the WordPress.com dashboard; however, I’ve checked your stats and found that they were showing some traffic. The Stats aren’t updating in real-time, which is normal behavior; that’s why you may have noticed they were reporting 0 previously.

Let us know if you have any other issues.

Hello @muffinpeace thanks for your support! Actually I have seen the statistics are slowing coming back to the usual values during the last two days. If you noticed, there is an 8 days time span where the visits have been lost by WPStats (but noted by Matomo): that’s from May 3 to – I would say – May 11.
I know the results are not real-time but the installation is not new. I am using the stats plugin since July 2007.

    Hi @pixel8383

I’d suggest contacting your hosting provider and asking them to check their security logs for any blocked requests to the xmlrpc.php file on your site, using the Jetpack by WordPress.com user agent.

You can also ask them to allow our IP addresses listed here:

    * **https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/**

Please note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time, which could break your connection to Jetpack. For this reason, we discourage allowing specific IPs, although it may be the only option with some hosts.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle
