    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    I am afraid you won’t be able to display a NextGen Gallery within the email, as shortcodes will only work within WordPress.

    You can, however, send a summary of your post to your subscribers instead of the whole post. To do so, please go to Settings > Reading in your dashboard, and set your Feed setting to “Summary”.

    I believe this is related, but I am not certain. When using the sharing buttons from the Jetpack “Sharing”, the description will carry over any shortcodes that are at the top of the post.

    I found somewhere that you should fill in the “excerpt” section on the post page, but that didn’t seem to have any effect.

    Ideas? or suggestions?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    @theidel The problem is different here.

    When you attempt to share a post on Facebook for example, Facebook crawls the page, and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

    You can see what Facebook sees by entering one of your posts’ URLs in Facebook Debugger:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

    On your site, you have actually added 2 sets of Facebook Open Graph meta tags;

    • one is added by the WordPress SEO plugin, and contains correct information (without any shortcodes).
    • The other set might be added by your theme, or by another plugin, but I would suggest that you remove it: the description tag includes the shortcodes, and Facebook gets confused when seeing 2 sets of open graph meta tags on a site.

    I hope this helps.

    Jeremy,

    Thanks much. I will take a look at that.

    I appreciate the help on this.

    Thanks,

    Tom
