Jetpack subscription bugs

Hello. I’ve checked the forums and haven’t really found anything that mirrors the issues we are currently having with the Jetpack Blog Subscriptions widget. Our client has the following concerns:
-It is hit or miss when someone signs up/subscribes to the blog when it comes to receiving a confirmation email that they have signed up. Some receive a confirmation email. Some do not.
-Some who have subscribed are not receiving any updates via email whatsoever.
-It doesn’t work for me personally on any browser I use. It says an email was sent but I never receive anything.
-I was wondering if I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it if that would help, but out of fear of losing our 40+ current subscribers I have not done that yet.
