• For the last few days I’ve noticed that some (but not all) of my posts are getting auto-tweeted as just the post title and URL, even though I always fill out the custom message box in the JetPack menu before hitting schedule.

I’ve tried to search for this issue first but I’m only seeing people who don’t know how to write a custom message. I do know how to do it, I’ve been doing it successfully for nearly 3 years, but this week it’s failing on SOME but not all posts.

There doesn’t seem to be any reason for which posts work and which don’t. Last year I had an issue with scheduled posts dropping their featured image at the last moment and that was always on posts I had gone back into and edited after hitting schedule the first time. That’s not the case this time. The posts I’ve had fail to save my custom tweet text are usually untouched.

It’s also not happening to all posts scheduled for the same day. Today I had 2 posts go live in the morning, 2 hours apart. The second tweeted with the custom message I had set, the first did not.

My theme, JetPack, and all plugins are up to date. I have no other functionality issues. My connection to Twitter is good.

    Suggestions? Known issue?
