• I’m using Weaver theme and, as I’m sure was the case for most people, when my wordpress updated to 3.9, I had a few issues.

I was unable to add new posts, pages or products, and unable to update existing ones. I took the advice I found in this forum and deactivated all plugins and then re-activated them one by one. This worked well and I have been able to add and update pages, posts and products.

However, when I have tried to re-activate the jetpack plugin and connect it to wordpress, I get the following message…

“Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32700
Try connecting again. Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC URL. Please check to make sure https://www.love-yourself-naturally.com/xmlrpc.php is working properly. It should show ‘XML?RPC server accepts POST requests only.’ on a line by itself when viewed in a browser and should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.”

I have tried connecting numerous times, I have tried deactivating and re-activating, I have tried unistalling jetpack and re-installing.

I found the xmlrpc.php file in my site’s public_html folder, but cannot find the above “XML?RPC server accepts POST requests only” line in that file. Is it possible to add it?

I’ll be honest, I don’t know what “should not have any blank links or extra output anywhere.” means.

    Any thoughts would be welcome.

    P.S.
I’ve also noticed, since deactivating and re-activating the plugins, that the widget visibility option is no-longer available (it’s just disappeared!), is this something to do with jetpack not working?

There was a recent security issue concerning XML-RPC and it’s possible that your server is configured to deny such access. I’ve personally disabled it. Your hosts may have done the same, speak to them about it.
