I run three different websites with WordPress and have always used Jetpack with them. The latest update of Jetpack has broken one of my sites – the site will not load unless I remove Jetpack from the files… It did the same to my other two sites, then I tried installing a previous version and it was fine.

I’m still concerned about your earlier report of widgets disappearing when you Publish, but I’d bet it was related to the same issue. Keep me posted!

Well, everything seems solid as a rock. Neither site is by any means finished, but the basics have been set up again and not one single hiccup or glitch has happened. A couple of themes won’t preview, but I have a feeling that is perhaps an issue within the theme itself or maybe a plugin thing…?

I put the links down below if anyone wants to check out the results.

That WordPress update seems to have cured everything. I’ve posted and no problems, previewed again and again and again, and no problems. I’m also quite happy with Elegant Themes.

I’m a happy WordPresser again! Thanks Richard! ??

Yay, I’m so glad you got everything worked one!

    Just a couple of notes:

For both sites, I suggest you set up “PRetty Permalinks”:

For https://www.scififangirl.rabidhorse.com/ the www. site doesn’t actually load, only the one without the www. – https://scififangirl.rabidhorse.com/ You should ask your host if they can help you make that work properly. ??

Glad your problems are almost all solved!

    Didn’t get a notification of a reply…

Thanks for everything! This has been my first experience using the support forums, and I think it works wonderfully.

Pretty Permalinks – will go look that up. I vaguely remember there is a page over on GoDaddy that I think is supposed to let you set that up, I thought I had set it up to load using both the http and the www version of the site, but maybe I only did that with my main site. I’ll go double-check.

One thing for sure, both sites update, preview, and run everything super-smoothly now. Thank you for everything! ??
