Ok, When updating Jetpack there appears to be major issues either with the latest Jetpack edition of Brute Force lockout being added to Jetpack or something similar, imho.

All I did was update Jetpack, as you do, then once it had updated started showing a line of code across the top of my site for all to see.

This is what I get …..

Warning: array_push() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/something/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/omnisearch/omnisearch-posts.php on line 17

I mean what is that? As a web designer I expect that when I’m given instructions to “Update” Jetpack of all plugins, then it should work straight up, as the builders are spot on guys / gals, right?

Please someone, if you have any ideas on how to fix this then let me know or post till your hearts content on this topic.

  • I also updated and got this error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/inamin5/public_html/pintangle.com/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 1356

I deactivated the plugin until its fixed as the fatal bit – gave me a moment of fear.

I am having a lot of problems with Jetpack as well. All of my wp.me shortlinks were working correctly and now they are all redirecting to my old defunct URL from over a year ago. When I try to even check out the settings in Jetpack, I can barely even load it or my WP dashboard – it is extremely slow. Anyone else having similar problems?

I’m getting a white screen error also, though mine happens when trying to access the login/admin page. The front-end of the site runs fine. I’m hosted on WP Engine. I assumed it had to do with WP Engine’s new login security features and the new Brute Force Protect in Jetpack, but haven’t had the chance to test yet.

@sharonb @brightstride @just a guy I’ve just had an update from Jetpack which once activated seems to have fixed the problem

    All back in good shape.

Check your own Admin’s and see if there’s an update from Jetpack in there for you.

Thanks I updated and it looks good
