Jetpack updates are resetting my Publicize Connections to OFF.

    I have noticed that the last several Jetpack updates are resetting my Publicize Connections to OFF. This had the effect of not posting to the social media and I varified the connections were good and also the emails to my “Email Subscribers” were not being sent out. I found that all I needed to do was to go to the Publicize Connections and switch to “ON”. This has happened several times and this is getting annoying. It seems that this happens whenever Jetpack updated the last several times. I have Jetpack Version 10.4. This issue started three updates ago. I am now turning automatic updates OFF for this reason. No other plugins were installed when this started and all other plugins are on manual updated, this is from the start of the blog. 3+ years ago. Only Jetpack was set to auto-update.

  • Today’s Jetpack update also switched all of my publicise settings to OFF. However, when I go in and change them all to ON again, the Faceback one doesn’t even offer a CONNECT button so I can’t continue, and when it does and I set everything to ON again, it all turns itself OFF again.

    Sorry for the trouble. We’ve had occasional reports of this for a few years, but we haven’t yet been able to identify a cause:

    I’ve added your reports there so you can follow it for any updates, but until we have a site where we can reproduce this consistently, we have no way of fixing it.
