    Hi,

I am trying to get in touch with Jetpack to learn more about their video service, but I have no clue how to do so. I am interested in the pro package but what is included? Are you able to upload an unlimited amount of videos and is it limited in terms of bandwidth?

Can I only get Videopress or do I need to install Jetpack? Or is it enough to have a premium plan on WordPress.com?

    Thank you

    Hi there,

I am trying to get in touch with Jetpack to learn more about their video service, but I have no clue how to do so.

You can contact us via this contact form.

I am interested in the pro package but what is included?

We don’t have any “Pro” plan at Jetpack. You can check available plans here.

Are you able to upload an unlimited amount of videos and is it limited in terms of bandwidth?

You can upload an unlimited number of videos, but there is a storage limit of 1TB. Jetpack’s video hosting may work for files up to 5 GB in size, but the larger the file is, the greater chance for the process to fail. Most networks will time out before you’re able to upload a file that’s larger than 1.4 GB. We cannot support files that are larger than 5 GB.

You can learn more about uploading recommendation here.

Can I only get VideoPress or do I need to install Jetpack? Or is it enough to have a premium plan on WordPress.com?

If your site is hosted somewhere else (not on WordPress.com) then VideosPress requires Jetpack Plugin to work, so yes, you will need to install the Jetpack plugin to use VideoPress.

If your site is on WordPress.com then you don’t need to install Jetpack as it is already installed there. You just need to purchase WordPress.com Premium or above plans to make VideoPress work on your site.

    Thank you for replying ??

So there is a limit of 1TB which you cannot exceed in total? That’s 1000 x 1 GB videos? Should be enough.

My site is hosted elsewhere. I wish there was a standalone Videopress plugin because Jetpack seems way too bloated for me. But it is what it is.

    Thank you again

Also, I found there is a “Videopress” package https://jetpack.com/videopress/

How is that different to the packages on here https://cloud.jetpack.com/pricing

    Thanks

    Hi @danniee001

    Thanks for your feedback!

I can see you’ve found the VideoPress landing page; the package there is the same as the one shown on the pricing page; that’s only a landing page that focuses more on VideoPress and its features (with frequently asked questions too).

    Best,
