    Today I installed a plugin called CSS Hero. The install went without issue. When I went to get my license key for CSS Hero I could not retrieve it. As i stared at my screen I noticed there was a message to activate jetpack. I found it odd as I know it used to be activated. Well long story short it would not stay activated. So I researched a bit and the advice seemed to be disable other plugins, deactivate and delete the jetpack plugin and reinstall….which I did. Now i get the message telling me to connect to wordpress.com. After clicking the button I get the message below.

    https://practicalbike.com

    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: The required “client_id” parameter is missing.

    Im thinking both plug in issues might be related so I figured I would start here.

    As side detail not sure if its relevant but in the past I have had issues where the https://practicalbike.com/wp-admin/ would result in a page cant be displayed and redirect error messages. The tech support where I host the site have corrected it each time. I have no idea of the root cause.

    Thanks
    Drew

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you try to deactivate and delete the Jetpack plugin completely, and then reinstall it from scratch, and try to reconnect it to your WordPress.com account?

    Let me know how it goes.

    I tried this a few times. I even verified via FTP that the jetpack directory was completely removed

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you try to add the following code to your theme’s functions.php file, or in a functionality plugin?

    delete_option( 'jetpack_private_options' );

    Then, load a dashboard and reinstall the plugin.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you for the help. The support staff at Liquid Web found some issues with the site that are now corrected and everything works as it should
