Jetpack’s related posts only from specific period

Excluding posts from a certain time period would be possible:

See “Exclude a specific post from ever appearing among Related Posts results”.

If there aren’t many posts you wish to exclude, their IDs can be listed manually. But if there are quite a few, querying WordPress (with before/after dates) for a list of post IDs may be quicker — they can then be added to the filter.

Hi, @gemmaevans! Thanks for the reply! I appreciate your help.

I have about 30.000+ posts (since 2006).

I have made some customizations to the Related Posts section, like adding a default fallback image if no image can be found in a post, or removing the Related Posts from the bottom of the page and moving them to a better suited place in my WP theme.

But I have no I idea how to exclude older posts. I would like to have more recent related posts content (2016 and after would be ideal).
