Jetpack's Widget Visibility not working

    Widget Visibility is a great feature but there’s something not working in an experience I’m making with Twenty Thirteen:

    Defining a widget’s visibilty as “Show if Page is Blog” results in it not appearing in this Blog page.
    At first it worked, but suddenly I can’t make a widget appear only in Blog page.

    Anyone getting the same thing?

  • I just discovered this feature and had problems when I set it to “Page IS Main” where Main is the name of the page that my blog posts show on. It doesn’t make sense to be given this option if it doesn’t work. It failed to display the widget on any of the pages that it normally shows up on. Change it to “Page IS Posts” worked, but it’s very confusing.

    Hi,

    I have a problem here. I am creating few page called “about us” and “contact me”. I wanted some widget on this particular part. Therefore, a straight forward ways is to have the widget visibility set to either one of the below:

    show if page is page or
    show if page is <name of the static page>

    I am using themify >> Postline theme by the way. I tried using other theme like “Twenty Twelve” and it works. Does this mean, it actually the theme that disable the function or it’s just incompatibility issue.

    @bss79 If the problem disappears when switching to one of the default themes, then the issue is most likely caused by a conflict between your theme and Jetpack.

    I would suggest getting in touch with the theme authors to let them know about the problem.
