    Hi there,

It appears that Jigoshop on our website is unable to send emails, to admins or customers. I have done a test purchase, as well as various ways of resending the confirmation emails, and none are received.

All other forms (and SMTP testing) on our website do work, and we receive those emails without any issues…it just seems to be Jigoshop and I can’t work out why!

I have followed all steps at https://www.jigoshop.com/documentation/e-mail-orders-notification-problem, apart from fully reinstalling Jigoshop (I’m trying to avoid that at all costs). Nothing is coming up in the Jigoshop logs when I try to resend emails from Jigoshop (eg. I tested sending an email invoice from the order screen), so I have nothing to show you in regards to debugging, so I’m really stuck.

I am running Jigoshop on multisite, so I’m not sure if that’s the case?

Thanks for any help you can provide, I’m scratching my head trying to work out this one!!!

    Hi guys,

This is still an outstanding issue, is there any support you can provide to put me in the right direction to get the emails working? It concerns me that I am unable to receive emails from the store I’ve set up.

    Hi,
Try using a wordpress plugin like WP-SMTP to configure your SMTP ??

    (@malvolio)

Unfortunately I’m already using Easy SMTP and emails from Jigoshop aren’t being received. Emails from other areas of the website (eg. Gravity Forms) are coming through without any problems.

    Hi malvolio.
I also have the same problem. in addition, not orders registered at the store. Du you have that problem as well?

Orders are coming through just fine for me – only problem is that I have to log in to check every day! Really wish I could get Jigoshop emails working.

    Hi Marcin,

The following information now comes up in debug.log when I try to purchase something from my store:

[14-Apr-2016 05:58:59 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: admin_order_status_pending_to_processing in website/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/classes/jigoshop_emails.class.php on line 56
[14-Apr-2016 05:58:59 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: customer_order_status_pending_to_processing in website/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/classes/jigoshop_emails.class.php on line 56
[14-Apr-2016 05:58:59 UTC] jigoshop: PAYPAL: IPN payment completed for Order ID: 1510

Could this be the reason why emails are not being sent to a customer when they place an order, or to admin to let us know an order has been placed? How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

    TO ADD:
I then tried to send the invoice to the customer via the admin dashboard. No email was received, but the following entry appeared in the debug log:

[14-Apr-2016 06:09:45 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: send_customer_invoice in website/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/classes/jigoshop_emails.class.php on line 56

Just one quick question – have you got your e-mails defined in Jigoshop? The above errors suggest, that they might’ve been not registered.

    Hi Marcin,

Sorry I haven’t been able to reply, I’ve been really sick.

I’ve finally gotten back to looking into this, and all of the emails were defined in Jigoshop…but I went into settings and pressed the “generate default emails”, deleted the old ones, and guess what – emails are now working! So I’m still not sure why the old ones weren’t sending, but the main thing is that they are working now! Thanks so much for your patience and help, I really appreciate it.

    Cheers,
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
This might have been a “runtime error” – the emails weren’t registered when they should have been, generating the defaults did that ??
